MX Unit to Pinch Valve

MX Unit to Pinch Valve

T&W Valve & Machine specializes in the rebuild and remanufacturing of MX Units used to operate pinch valves, restoring worn or damaged components to reliable operating condition. These units convert actuator motion into the mechanical force required to compress or release the flexible sleeve inside a pinch valve.

How it works:
An MX unit provides controlled movement—typically from an electric or pneumatic actuator—that is transmitted through internal mechanical components to operate the pinch valve. When activated, the mechanism compresses the valve’s rubber sleeve, restricting or stopping the flow of material through the line. When the actuator releases, the sleeve returns to its open shape and flow resumes.

Through inspection, repair, machining, and replacement of worn parts, T&W Valve & Machine remanufactures MX units to restore proper function and extend service life, helping facilities maintain reliable flow control in systems handling abrasive, corrosive, or slurry-based media.

Related Valve Repair Services
As part of its comprehensive valve repair capabilities, T&W Valve & Machine also provides full-service valve refurbishment including pickup and delivery, receipt inspection, disassembly and cleaning, upgrade evaluations, painting, and refurbishment of key components such as plugs, discs, balls, seats, and shafts. Additional services include replacement of soft goods, packing hardware, body bolting, tubing and fittings, followed by assembly, calibration, testing, final inspection, and documentation to ensure each valve meets performance and quality standards.

Rebuild Process

Rebuild Process

When MX units arrive with significant wear or damage, T&W Valve performs a complete restoration process to return the equipment to service-ready condition. Each unit first undergoes a detailed inspection and evaluation to identify worn, damaged, or out-of-tolerance components. The unit is then fully disassembled and cleaned to remove debris, corrosion, and buildup. Worn or damaged parts are restored through precision machining or welding to recover critical dimensions and surfaces, while high-wear components such as bearings, seals, bushings, and hardware are replaced as needed. After repairs are completed, the unit is carefully reassembled and calibrated to ensure proper mechanical movement and alignment. Final testing and quality verification are performed to confirm the unit operates correctly and meets performance standards. Once the restoration process is complete, the rebuilt MX units are fully assembled, tested, and ready for installation, allowing facilities to return pinch valve systems to operation with confidence.

Completed Rebuilt Unit

Once the restoration process is complete, the MX unit is fully rebuilt, tested, and prepared for installation. Each remanufactured unit has been inspected, repaired, and calibrated to ensure reliable mechanical operation and proper alignment with the pinch valve system. With worn components replaced and critical surfaces restored, the completed unit is returned to the customer service-ready, providing dependable performance and extending the operational life of the valve assembly in demanding industrial applications.

Multiple Units for Repair
